Product description

The Pilates ball is a small piece of equipment with many uses. You can use it as a counterweight during Pilates exercises, place it underneath you, or wedge it between your knees, thighs, or back and a wall. The THERABAND Pilates ball is soft and easy to grip and comes with a valve. This allows you to inflate it and adjust the amount of air to suit your exercise.

Three sizes for different exercises

The ball is available in diameters of 18 cm (red), 22 cm (blue), and 26 cm (anthracite). The small ball is particularly compact and is ideal for wedging or holding. The larger ball provides more surface area if you want to place something on it or support yourself on it. Which size is right for you depends on your exercises and how it feels for your body. If you already have some exercises in mind, take a look at our THERABAND exercises.

For Pilates, pelvic floor training, and rehabilitation

The ball is used in Pilates practice, pelvic floor training, and rehabilitation. It allows you to make exercises for posture, mobility, strength, coordination, and balance more varied. You can control how yielding the ball is by adjusting the amount of air: with less air it becomes softer, with more air it becomes firmer.

FAQ

Which size is the right one?

That depends on your exercises. The 18 cm ball is particularly compact and is easy to hold or wedge. The 26 cm ball has more surface area and is suitable for placing underneath or supporting yourself on. The 22 cm ball is somewhere in between. If you are unsure, start with the medium size.

How do I inflate the Pilates ball and adjust the firmness?

The ball has a valve for inflating and deflating it. Inflate it gradually and test how it feels. With less air, it becomes softer; with more air, it becomes firmer. To deflate it, open the valve.

What can I use the Pilates ball for?

You can use it during Pilates exercises as a counterweight to the body or as a support. It is also suitable for pelvic floor training and rehabilitation.

What is the difference between a Pilates ball and an exercise ball?

The Pilates ball is significantly smaller, with a diameter of 18 to 26 cm. Exercise balls measure 45 to 75 cm and are used for sitting or as a full-body training device.

What material is the ball made of?

According to the product information, the ball is made of PVC, free from harmful phthalates.
